Radiologic Technologist X-Ray/CT Specialist

As a Radiologic Technologist X-Ray/CT at Animas Surgical Hospital, you will be responsible for completing daily diagnostic imaging studies within the modalities of CT, Digital Radiography, and C-Arm to produce high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.
Key Responsibilities:- Obtain patient history and allergies, inform patients of study, safety, and contrast media contraindications.
- Maintain a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors in and around the radiology department.
- Provide patient instructions related to the exam, including breathing, communication, observation, and length of study, along with post-study instructions.
- Enter required patient information accurately into the EHR and scan patients in accordance with specified protocols.
- Produce imaging in accordance with optimum standards for radiologist interpretation, including appropriate imaging reconstructions and complete notes on each patient in PACS.
- Perform assigned responsibilities as an epidural pain management technologist during procedures and as a C-arm fluoro in OR and procedure technologist as necessary for imaging procedures.
- Participate in taking call rotation and holiday rotation when needed.
- Graduation from an ARRT-approved program in Radiologic Technology.
- Current CPR certification and registration through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, R.T. (R).
- Minimum of one year of experience as a technologist in a surgical or hospital setting with a strong working knowledge of Radiography and CT.
- C-Arm experience is a plus.
Environmental hazards such as chemicals, solvents, needles, needle containers, sharps, blood, body fluids, various infectious/communicable diseases, infectious medical waste, radiation, and/or radioactive materials and/or radioactive waste may be present. Protective clothing/equipment may be necessary.
ASH IMMUNIZATIONS AND VACCINATIONS REQUIREMENTS- Aligns with CDC's Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) for Healthcare Personnel.
