**Job Summary**

At Animas Surgical Hospital, we are seeking a highly skilled Radiology Technician/CT Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for completing daily diagnostic imaging studies within the modalities of CT, Digital Radiography, and C-Arm to produce high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.

**Essential Job Functions**

  • Obtain patient history and allergies, inform patients of study, safety, contrast media contraindications.
  • Maintain a safe environment for the patient, staff, and visitors in and around the radiology department, including the MRI Suite.
  • Provide patient instructions related to the exam, including breathing, communication, observation, and length of study, along with post-study instructions.
  • Enter required patient information accurately into the EHR; scan patients in accordance with specified appropriate protocol.
  • Produce imaging in accordance with optimum standards for radiologist interpretation, including appropriate imaging recons. Complete notes on each patient in PACS.
  • Perform assigned responsibilities as epidural pain management technologist during procedures.
  • Perform assigned responsibilities as C-arm fluoro in OR and procedure technologist as necessary for imaging procedures.
  • Participate in taking call rotation and holiday rotation when needed.

**Requirements**

  • Graduation from an ARRT-approved program in Radiologic Technology.
  • Current CPR certification; registration through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, R.T. (R) (CT).
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience as a technologist in a surgical or hospital setting with a strong working knowledge of Radiography and CT. C-Arm experience a plus.

**Working Conditions/Environmental Exposures**

Environmental hazards such as chemicals, solvents, needles, needle containers, sharps, blood, body fluids, various infectious/communicable diseases, infectious medical waste, radiation, and/or radioactive materials and/or radioactive waste, proximity to moving mechanical parts. Protective clothing/equipment may be necessary.
