Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Computed Tomography Technologist to join our team at the University of Maryland Medical System. As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for performing routine and specialized CT imaging procedures under general supervision.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute basic clinical competence in CT, in all locations, across all patient types.
  • Select accurate technical factors on an individual patient basis and demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to age of the patient.
  • Observe concepts of Image Wisely/Image Gently for dose reduction and administer contrast according to facility policy.
  • Apply knowledge of CT principles and practices, including anatomy and physiology, radiation safety and physics, patient positioning and patient care skills.
  • Document accurate patient care activity in various electronic health records systems.
  • Ensure a safe and appropriate work environment and maintain supplies and inventory in area.
  • Participate in departmental and organizational performance improvement initiatives and efforts to improve workflows, patient experience and quality.
Qualifications
  • Associate degree, or Certificate, in radiologic technology from a program accredited by an agency recognized by the US Department of Education (USDE) or Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).
  • Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) in Radiography (R).
  • Licensed Radiographer - State of Maryland.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support Certification.
