Job Summary:


The Group Lead I is responsible for assisting the Group Lead II with day-to-day operations of the department to maximize quality output. This position requires knowledge of all aspects of the department, including scheduling, work priorities, and material availability and quality.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Assist in the implementation of production policies and procedures.
  • Mentor and assist in training new team members.
  • Monitor and adjust workflow to meet the requirements of the schedule.
  • Assign work and lead by example through hands-on work.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Assist in product inspections and evaluate the quality of the work prior to the product leaving the area.
  • Assist with monthly inventory and improve process accuracy.
  • Interact with customers and customer representatives in a professional manner consistent with company practices.

Requirements:


  • High School Diploma or its equivalent.
  • Six (6) or more months of experience of leadership in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience of performing all tasks within the department.
