Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Customer Service Advocate to join our team at St. Luke's Hospital. As a key member of our Single Business Office, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to patients and families, ensuring their billing questions and concerns are addressed in a timely and professional manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to patient inquiries and concerns regarding hospital and physician billing, providing clear and concise information and resolving issues in a fair and timely manner.
  • Collaborate with various departments to ensure accurate and efficient processing of patient accounts, including research and follow-up as needed.
  • Utilize knowledge of vendor and technology systems to resolve customer concerns and improve the patient experience.
  • Update and correct patient information in our system, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Provide extended customer service by coordinating with other departments to resolve complex issues and concerns.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of patient accounting billing, third-party payment methodologies, and financial assistance policies to ensure patients' concerns are fully addressed.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required; minimum one year of experience in third-party billing in a physician's office or hospital preferred.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Demonstrated diplomacy, tact, and a positive approach in evaluating and resolving issues.
  • Organizational skills and confidentiality are essential.
  • Ability to work well with minimal supervision and problem-solve effectively.
  • Highly motivated and professional individual with a strong commitment to delivering exceptional patient care.
