Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Customer Service Representative to join our team at PeopleShare. As a Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our clients, resolving issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contracting and Verification: Contract patients to complete Medicaid applications and charity care process, and verify patient health insurance information.
  • Communication and Documentation: Work with patients and/or family members, employers, banks, and federal/state offices for additional information as needed, and accurately document information into various systems.
  • Facilitation and Support: Perform duties such as faxing, filing, emailing, and making phone calls to facilitate completion of applications, and provide coverage at hospital facility on an as needed basis.
  • Medical Assistance and Counseling: Assist patients in applying for medical assistance programs, counsel patients in navigating through medical bills, insurance benefits, and financial resources available, and work with patients, physicians, nursing staff, pharmaceutical, and insurance companies.
  • Travel and Other Duties: Travel to other client facilities as needed, and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Covid Vaccine: Must have Covid Vaccine.
  • Education: Minimum high school diploma or GED.
  • Language: Bilingual (English/Spanish).
  • Technical Skills: Working knowledge of Microsoft applications: Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills both written and verbal.
  • Problem Solving: Detail oriented, strong problem-solving and research skills.
  • Training and Certification: Must be able to do 6-8 weeks of organized training in Allentown office (PATHS will pay for mileage and it will be paid training).
  • Driver's License and Vehicle: Valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, and car insurance.
  • Experience: Experience working in healthcare facility, insurance billing, Medicaid eligibility, or social work preferred.
  • Comfortability: Comfortability working in a hospital environment.
