Job Summary


The Chief Business Officer will play a critical role in ensuring the financial stability and success of our district. Under minimal direction, this individual will be responsible for performing a variety of fiscal administrative tasks, including budget preparation, monitoring, and reporting. The successful candidate will also be expected to clearly communicate financial information to the Superintendent, Board, employees, and the public.


Requirements / Qualifications


A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a major in business or education is required. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated successful previous experience in the area of school finance and administration. A strong understanding of financial principles, policies, and procedures is essential for this role.


Responsibilities


  • Develop and implement financial plans and budgets that align with the district's strategic goals.
  • Monitor and analyze financial data to ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and district policies.
  • Provide financial guidance and support to district administrators, employees, and the public.
  • Collaborate with the Superintendent, Board, and other stakeholders to develop and implement financial policies and procedures.
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and compliance with state and federal regulations.


Preferred Qualifications


  • Master's degree in business administration or a related field.
  • Experience in school finance and administration.
  • Certification in school business management or a related field.
