Job Summary

The Marshall Medical Center is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Office Coordinator to provide clerical support for the Hospital Patient Billing department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for processing all department documents in a timely and accurate manner, ensuring quality at all times.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process mail, correspondences, and supply orders quickly and accurately
  • Ensure work queues are performed according to department guidelines
  • Assist with special projects as assigned

Requirements

  • High School graduate or equivalent required
  • One year of previous experience in a clerical, medical records, or healthcare business office setting required
  • Working knowledge of basic Microsoft Office (i.e. Excel & Word) required, intermediate experience preferred
  • Previous experience with scanning/imaging equipment and in quality control strongly preferred

Skills

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Good typing and telephone skills
  • Ability to multi-task and reprioritize workload in order to meet deadlines
  • Data entry, ten-key skills, basic filing, alphabetic, numeric, and basic math skills required
  • Ability to make reasonable independent decisions in the absence of immediate direct supervision

Working Conditions

This is a full-time position that requires a team player who can work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be highly organized, and be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
