Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Bank Teller to join our team at M&T Bank. As a Bank Teller, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers, resolving routine problems, and ensuring a positive banking experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service, adhering to established standards and delivering solutions that meet customer needs.
  • Educate customers through digital demonstrations, identify self-service opportunities, and take ownership of escalated account services issues.
  • Accurately balance and process customer transactions, complete branch-related operational activities, and maintain M&T internal control standards.
  • Adhere to applicable compliance/operational risk controls, promote a diverse and inclusive work environment, and stay current on operational changes.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent, with a minimum of 6 months customer service experience, including data entry and/or cash handling experience.
  • Proven verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills, and ability to demonstrate exceptional customer service.
  • Well-organized, with proven time management and prioritization skills, and proficiency with internet user-level technology.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bilingual based on branch needs.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time, prolonged use of hands and fingers, and ability to lift light to heavy objects weighing 5lbs – 30 lbs.

M&T Bank is committed to fair, competitive, and market-informed pay for our employees. The pay range for this position is $29.88 (USD). The successful candidate's particular combination of knowledge, skills, and experience will inform their specific compensation.
