Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Principal Electronics Engineer to join our team in Rancho Bernardo, CA. This position will be part of our Avionics Integration Organization and will focus on integrating and testing software and hardware systems in complex IT systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement engineering and automated deployments for datacenter system configurations.
  • Collaborate with engineers to install, troubleshoot, and document procedures.
  • Work closely with engineers and technicians in a lab environment.
  • Plan, coordinate, and document projects effectively.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM field and 8 years of related engineering experience, or a Master's degree in a STEM field and 6 years of related engineering experience, or a PhD in a STEM field with 3 years of related engineering experience.
  • Experience deploying, configuring, hardening, and maintaining network routing and switching devices.
  • Experience with network information and event management systems (ISE, Solarwinds, LibreNMS).
  • Experience with software-defined networking technologies (NSX).
  • Familiarity with network security devices (firewalls, IDS, IPS).
  • Experience with programming languages such as Python, Go, etc.
  • Experience with infrastructure automation tools such as Ansible, Puppet, Terraform, etc.
  • Experience utilizing Linux command line and Linux-based tools.
  • Active DoD Top Secret clearance.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access (SAP/PAR).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Kubernetes and container networking.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodology.
  • Familiarity with version control, with GIT experience preferred.
  • Ability to author and maintain technical installation, configuration, and update documentation.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and ability to interface with all levels of employees and management.
What We Offer

Northrop Grumman offers a competitive salary range of $133,000 - $199,600, as well as a variety of benefits, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, company-paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
