Job Title: Principal Systems Engineer/Senior Principal Systems Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Systems Engineer or Senior Principal Systems Engineer to join our team at Northrop Grumman. As a key member of our Payload and Ground Systems organization, you will play a critical role in developing, designing, producing, and sustaining optimized product lines across the sector.

About the Role:
  • Perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems.
  • Ensure the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
  • Perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in STEM with 5 years of related experience, or a Master's degree in STEM with 3 years of related experience.
  • Active SCI access and/or DoD Top Secret clearance.
  • Experience in test procedure development, test planning, and/or integration and test.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to multi-task.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or other STEM-related field.
  • Experience in troubleshooting of complex systems.
  • Working knowledge of Linux operating systems.
  • Working knowledge of scripting languages such as Python.
