Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Parking Enforcement Officer. As a key member of our Public Works department, you will be responsible for enforcing parking regulations and ensuring the safety and equity of our community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Enforce parking regulations and issue tickets as necessary
  • Coordinate with towing services to remove vehicles that pose a safety risk or infringe on equitable parking opportunities
  • Provide excellent customer service to the public, responding to questions and inquiries regarding parking services, regulations, and procedures
  • Relay complaints to the Parking Services Coordinator
  • Assist with special events and attractions in the area, ensuring that parking is managed effectively
  • Monitor and maintain accurate records of work activities
  • Provide administrative support to the Parking Services Coordinator as needed
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Valid Driver's License preferred
  • Must have no prior felony or misdemeanor convictions
  • Must successfully pass a data security certification and background investigation (including fingerprinting)
  • Ability to walk and remain standing for long periods of time (7-12 hours per day)
  • Ability to maintain a professional appearance at all times and adhere to the City uniform policy
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions
  • Ability to work evenings, overnight, holidays, and weekends
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Regular attendance is necessary and is essential to meeting the expectations of the job functions
