Procurement Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Procurement Professional to join our procurement team at Upwing Energy. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proven track record in procurement.
Key Responsibilities:- Sourcing and Procurement: Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery performance. Own the procurement process from RFQ to generating a purchase order to resolving invoices issues. Negotiate price and lead time to achieve the best value for the company and to support production schedule.
- Order Management: Prepare and process purchase orders, ensure orders are processed promptly and accurately. Track orders and resolve any issues related to late delivery, quality, or pricing. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of purchases, contracts, and supplier information. Update and maintain vendor's lead time, pricing and minimum order quantity.
- Vendor Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers. Conduct regular reviews of supplier performance and address any issues or concerns. On boarding new vendors. Updating/maintaining the approved vendor list.
- Cost Analysis: Conduct cost analyses to identify cost-saving opportunities. Collaborate with internal departments to optimize purchasing strategies.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely within the team and with other departments, such as production, quality control, and finance, to understand their needs and ensure seamless procurement processes.
- Continuous Improvement: Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance procurement processes and drive operational efficiencies.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, supply chain, operations or related field.
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in procurement for a manufacturer, including raw material, outside process and MROs.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build effective supplier relationships.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and procurement software.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent time management. Effectively prioritizes tasks and concentrates efforts on key priorities. Demonstrates strong planning skills and maintains awareness of deadlines, responding appropriately to immediate, short-term, and long-term requirements.
