Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Facilities Engineer to join our team at Lam Research. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for the overall site facility mechanical infrastructure and will own the final results associated with decisions that affect it.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and coordinate facilities changes for plant, labs, office, and production equipment layouts to ensure economy of operation, maximum use of facilities and equipment, and compliance with laws and regulations.
  • Coordinate with architecture/engineering firms in developing design criteria and preparing layout and detail drawings.
  • Prepare bid sheets and contracts for construction and facilities acquisition.
  • Review and estimate design costs, including equipment, installation, labor, materials, preparation, and other related costs.
  • Inspect construction and installation progress for conformance to established drawings, specifications, and schedules.
  • Develop criteria and performance specifications required to meet unique operating requirements and building and safety codes.
Core Areas of Responsibility
  • HVAC (cleanroom, office, process/scrubbed exhaust, boilers, and chillers)
  • Process water distribution and integrity of supply quality
  • Clean dry air infrastructure
  • Natural gas infrastructure
  • Process/Tool vacuum
Requirements
  • BS in Mechanical engineering, with a minimum of 8 years of industrial design experience (Professional engineering license a plus)
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills to support core responsibilities
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, and ability to interact with internal customers efficiently
  • Ability to work off hours and/or weekends if needed to support project deliverables on time while ensuring highest quality standards
