Job Title: Security Manager

At Royal Lahaina Resort, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Manager to join our team. As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our guests, employees, and property.

Responsibilities:
  • Motivate, coach, and counsel security personnel to ensure they are meeting the highest standards of service and security.
  • Review activity reports and incident reports to identify areas for improvement and ensure that security protocols are being followed.
  • Develop and implement emergency response plans to ensure the safety of our guests and employees in the event of an emergency.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure that security protocols are being followed and that our guests and employees are receiving the highest level of service.
  • Conduct regular security audits to identify areas for improvement and ensure that our security protocols are being followed.
  • Develop and implement training programs to ensure that security personnel are equipped with the skills and knowledge they need to perform their jobs effectively.
  • Monitor and report on security-related incidents and trends to ensure that our security protocols are effective.
Requirements:
  • At least 2 years of experience in a security or related field.
  • Supervisory experience preferred.
  • Must be proficient in computer programs including MS Office/Word/Excel.
  • Must have a valid driver's license from the applicable state.
  • Must be able to climb stairs, descend stairs, and run.
  • Must be able to physically deter individuals who pose a threat to guests and/or employees.
Working Conditions:

The Security Manager will work in a fast-paced environment and will be required to work varying shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays. The Security Manager will also be required to work in a variety of weather conditions.

The Security Manager will be required to maintain a high level of physical fitness and be able to respond quickly and effectively in emergency situations.

The Security Manager will also be required to maintain confidentiality of information and handle sensitive situations with discretion.

The Security Manager will be required to work closely with other departments, including housekeeping, front desk, and maintenance, to ensure that our guests and employees are receiving the highest level of service.

The Security Manager will also be required to maintain accurate records and reports, including incident reports and security audits.

The Security Manager will be required to attend training sessions and meetings as needed to stay up-to-date on the latest security protocols and procedures.

The Security Manager will also be required to participate in M.O.D. coverage as needed.

The Security Manager will be required to maintain regular attendance and be punctual for all shifts and meetings.

The Security Manager will also be required to maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including wearing a nametag.

The Security Manager will be required to comply with all Highgate Hotel Standards and regulations to ensure safe and efficient hotel operations.

The Security Manager will also be required to maximize efforts towards productivity, identify problem areas, and assist in implementing solutions.

The Security Manager will be required to handle problems, including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as necessary.

The Security Manager will also be required to understand and evaluate complex information, data, etc. from various sources to meet appropriate objectives.

The Security Manager will be required to maintain confidentiality of information.

The Security Manager will also be required to perform other duties as requested by management.
