Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Case Assistant to provide wraparound social work services and case management to individuals in need of benefits and entitlements in the community. This is a 4-hour shift, Monday to Friday position.

About You

You will provide assistance with case management in a social services environment, fluently communicating with Russian and Spanish speaking individuals. Your excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, will enable you to effectively interact with clients and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments for all individuals who contact the social services department, including those in need of food pantry and workforce services.
  • Assist individuals with applying for qualifying benefits, ensuring compliance with funders' protocols.
  • Provide guidance and education to individuals about available services, working closely with JCC off-site programs to provide information on services and benefits.
  • Maintain records of all efforts, including outreach, contacts, and outcomes.
  • Represent the Center in all forums, upholding the organization's values and mission.
Requirements
  • At least 2 years' experience working in the social services field.
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal, written, and computer.
  • Training in interviewing skills, client assessment, determining eligibility, community resources, and information/referral process.
