Job Overview

Lenders Cooperative is a leader in banking technology, committed to developing a loan origination system crafted by bankers for bankers. We are currently seeking a diligent Fraud Investigator to delve into suspected fraudulent activities and provide comprehensive reports on findings.

The ideal candidate will possess expertise in fraud investigation, particularly in relation to program eligibility and fraud screening/analysis. Strong investigative skills and effective case management are essential for success in this role. A top-tier fraud investigator must thrive under pressure and exhibit meticulous attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough and confidential investigations into suspected fraud claims.
  • Review and analyze evidence and documentation to construct a detailed fact pattern and synthesize findings into a professional report with actionable recommendations.
  • Effectively manage and prioritize a diverse caseload to achieve favorable outcomes.
  • Examine documentation, including financial records, to ascertain the occurrence of fraud.
  • Assist in drafting responses to inquiries or findings related to investigations.
  • Support the updating and maintenance of relevant policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's degree in welfare, criminology, finance, or a related field is preferred.
  • A minimum of two years of experience as a fraud investigator within government agencies or financial institutions.
  • Strong understanding of relevant legislation concerning fraud, payroll fraud, white-collar crime, and other financial crime investigations.
  • Proficient in analytics and report writing software; experience with case management software is advantageous.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent organizational skills to manage a high volume of cases effectively.
  • Outstanding research capabilities.
  • A determination to conduct thorough investigations and achieve successful outcomes.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of engaging with clients, upper management, and government agencies.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
