RETTEW is on the lookout for a skilled Civil Engineering CAD Specialist to enhance our team. The successful applicant will possess a comprehensive knowledge of civil engineering site design and the capability to follow guidance from engineers, landscape architects, designers, and other professionals. Familiarity with local regulations and the ability to analyze and interpret them is essential.
Location:
Mechanicsburg, PA (Hybrid work model with in-office presence required)
Key Responsibilities:
- Examine local, county, and state regulations along with design guidance documents.
- Engage and collaborate with the project team effectively.
- Assist the project team in developing Sketch Plans, Subdivision Plans, Lot Consolidation Plans, Land Development Plans, Zoning Exhibits, Erosion & Sediment Control Plans, and PCSM Plans.
- Design layout concepts, road alignments, profiles, road assemblies & corridors, detailed grading, and final grade surface creation utilizing road corridors, grading objects, and polyline grading; create and manage sanitary sewer and storm sewer pipe networks, perform cut and fill analysis, and conduct site balancing.
- Generate vehicle turning templates using Autoturn software.
Qualifications:
- Graduate from a two-year technical institution or equivalent experience.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in civil engineering site development.
- Knowledge of municipal regulations.
- Experience in drafting site plans and land development documents.
- Familiarity with the preparation of construction documents and the municipal plan submission process.
- Proficient in AutoCAD Civil3D software.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Excellent communication abilities.
- Capability to prioritize and manage multiple projects concurrently.
- Self-driven with a passion for learning and professional growth.
