Job DescriptionJob DescriptionLenders Cooperative is at the forefront of banking technology and is dedicated to building a loan origination system designed by bankers. Lenders Cooperative seeks a resourceful fraud investigator to investigate suspected fraud cases and report any findings. In this role, we require fraud investigation expertise for program eligibility and fraud screening/analysis.
You should have excellent investigative techniques and case management to be a successful fraud investigator. Ultimately, a top-notch fraud investigator should be able to work well under pressure and pay meticulous attention to detail.
This position is required to come into the Mechanicsburg HQ office 2-3 days a week.
Fraud Investigator Responsibilities:
- Conducting extensive and confidential investigations of suspected fraud allegations
- Review and research evidence/documents to analyze the overall fact pattern of claim and synthesize data into a professional report with recommendations
- Manage and prioritize a large and varied caseload effectively and efficiently to achieve positive results
- Analyzing documentation, such as documentation and financial records to determine if fraud occurred
- Assist with drafting responses to inquires or findings
- Assist with updating and maintaining policies and procedures
Fraud Investigator Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in welfare, criminology, finance, or related field is preferred
- At least two years experience working as a fraud investigator at government agencies or financial institutions
- Good understanding of relevant legislation, such fraud, payroll fraud, white collar crime, and other financial crime investigations
- Solid understanding of analytics and proficiency in report writing software, case management software is a plus
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
- Good organizational skills needed to manage a high volume of assigned cases
- Excellent research skills
- Determination to succeed and complete a thorough investigation.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to interact with clients, upper management, and government agencies
- Possess the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
