Key Responsibilities:
- Performing comprehensive and confidential investigations into suspected fraud cases.
- Reviewing and analyzing evidence and documentation to understand the overall context of claims, culminating in a professional report with actionable recommendations.
- Effectively managing a diverse and substantial caseload to achieve favorable outcomes.
- Examining financial records and related documentation to ascertain the occurrence of fraud.
- Assisting in drafting responses to inquiries or findings related to investigations.
- Contributing to the updating and maintenance of relevant policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in criminology, finance, welfare, or a related discipline is preferred.
- A minimum of two years of experience as a fraud investigator within government agencies or financial institutions.
- Strong knowledge of applicable legislation concerning fraud, payroll fraud, white-collar crime, and other financial crime investigations.
- Proficiency in analytics and report writing software; familiarity with case management software is advantageous.
- Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage a high volume of cases effectively.
- Outstanding research capabilities.
- A determined approach to conducting thorough investigations.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage with clients, senior management, and government entities.
- Capability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
