Job Title: Senior Electrical Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team at Firestorm, a defense-meets-Silicon Valley technology company. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing electronic components and circuits used in our modular UAV systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct PCB/A design, including collecting requirements, schematic design, component selection, and layout.
  • Design and prototype cable assembly and wire harness systems.
  • Manage relationships with electrical engineering-related suppliers.
  • Document new test procedures and report test plan results.
  • Read and interpret designs/schematics and troubleshoot circuit problems.
  • Collaborate with a dynamic team to drive project progress.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field; Master's preferred.
  • 4+ years of experience in electrical engineering or a related field.
  • Proficient in schematic capture of electrical circuit designs.
  • Experience with RF systems and analog designs.
  • Solid understanding of high voltage DC power systems.
  • Familiarity with power architecture and high-speed digital design.
  • Ability to read and interpret designs/schematics.
  • Hands-on experience working with battery-powered products.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently and within a team.
  • Experience working with suppliers and managing relations.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Proficient with Google Suite.
  • Background in aerospace is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with advanced battery management systems and energy harvesting technologies.
  • Previous experience working in a fast-paced startup environment.
  • Knowledge of compliance requirements and standards in the defense sector.
  • Familiarity with reliability testing and validation methodologies.
