Senior Electrical Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team at Firestorm. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing electronic components and circuits for our modular UAV systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop PCBs and electrical systems for new products and components
  • Conduct thorough testing and debugging of electrical systems
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive project progress
  • Manage relationships with electrical engineering-related suppliers
  • Document new test procedures and report test plan results effectively
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field; Master's preferred, or equivalent experience
  • 4+ years of experience in electrical engineering or a related field
  • Proficient in schematic capture of electrical circuit designs (Altium preferred)
  • Experience with RF systems and analog designs
  • Solid understanding of high voltage DC power systems
  • Familiarity with power architecture and high-speed digital design
  • Ability to read and interpret designs/schematics
  • Hands-on experience working with battery-powered products
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently as well as within a team
  • Experience working with suppliers and managing relations
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
  • Proficient with Google Suite (Sheets, Docs, Slides, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with advanced battery management systems and energy harvesting technologies
  • Previous experience working in a fast-paced startup environment
  • Knowledge of compliance requirements and standards in the defense sector
  • Familiarity with reliability testing and validation methodologies
