Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Communications and Public Affairs Advisor to join our team at QinetiQ US. As a key member of our integrated marketing communications and public affairs portfolio, you will provide critical support to a federal law enforcement organization within the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS).

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute multimedia projects and campaigns in coordination with program managers and technical subject matter experts.
  • Provide daily communications and public affairs guidance and support to agency executive leadership.
  • Build and maintain collaborative relationships with subject matter experts and agency leadership.
  • Analyze and convey complex technical language into clear, concise, and accurate language.
  • Identify and recommend integrated marketing communications tactics and campaigns.
  • Adapt to a dynamic environment with a focus on capturing short- and long-term strategic goals.
Requirements
  • 3-10 years of experience in federal management consulting, strategic communications, marketing, visual communications, or a related field.
  • Experience in marketing and communications, including drafting high-profile talking points and speeches for senior government officials.
  • Skills in graphics design, MS SharePoint, audio/visual, photography, and/or print/web design.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Ability to think critically and proactively identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Self-directed team player with the ability to work collaboratively and independently.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience building working relationships with federal law enforcement stakeholders.
  • Passion for public relations and subject matter expertise in integrated marketing communications.
