Position Summary:

The Senior Cybersecurity SME will play a pivotal role in delivering information technology services and support for a key cybersecurity program. This position involves managing and defending critical networks and information systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement cybersecurity strategies that align with organizational goals and regulatory standards.
  • Provide insights to senior management regarding emerging security threats and recommend strategic initiatives.
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments to pinpoint vulnerabilities within information systems.
  • Formulate risk mitigation strategies ensuring compliance with applicable laws and industry standards.
  • Assist in security audits to evaluate the effectiveness of existing security measures.
  • Support incident response activities, including preparation, detection, containment, and recovery from security breaches.
  • Analyze incidents post-event to determine root causes and integrate lessons learned into future practices.
  • Design secure network architectures, embedding security controls within all IT systems.
  • Evaluate security tools and technologies to enhance protective measures.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to integrate security within the software development lifecycle.
  • Facilitate the collection and analysis of threat intelligence to proactively address potential risks.
  • Oversee the operation of Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems for continuous monitoring.
  • Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity threats and adapt security measures accordingly.
  • Provide training and mentorship to junior cybersecurity personnel, fostering a culture of security awareness.
  • Lead daily operations of the cybersecurity team, ensuring effective monitoring and response to security incidents.
  • Enhance the effectiveness of security controls and processes to minimize operational disruptions.
  • Participate in cybersecurity projects, collaborating with various teams to ensure comprehensive security measures.
  • Prepare reports detailing cybersecurity posture and compliance status.
Qualifications:
  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • TS/SCI Clearance is required.
  • Possession of Certified Authorization Professional (CAP) certification.
  • IAT Level III Certification is mandatory.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, or Computer Science.
  • A minimum of ten years of relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated expertise in technical principles and the ability to provide solutions to complex problems.
  • Familiarity with DISS for validating security clearances.
Preferred Certifications:
  • CISM: Certified Information Security Manager
  • CISSO: Certified Information Systems Security Officer
  • GCIA: GIAC Certified Intrusion Analyst
  • CISSP: Certified Information Systems Security Professional

This position is contingent upon successful contract award and negotiation.
