Position Summary

We are currently seeking a Senior Threat Analyst (DCO) to enhance our team.

  • Must be a US Citizen

The Senior Threat Analyst will play a crucial role in delivering IT services and support for the US Army Regional Cyber Center program. This program is responsible for the operation, management, and defense of the Army's NIPRNet and SIPRNet networks.

The selected candidate will utilize their expertise to identify system vulnerabilities, monitor potential threats, and ensure compliance with security standards. Responsibilities include:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze Information Assurance Vulnerability Alerts (IAVA) and Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE).
  • Conduct detailed risk assessments and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Generate cyber threat awareness reports detailing network threats and trends.
  • Produce informational reports for stakeholders to enhance situational awareness regarding evolving cyber threats.
  • Engage in proactive cyber threat analysis and hunting across supported networks.
  • Review threat intelligence from various sources to identify potential threats.
  • Utilize research findings to provide operational impact assessments and recommendations.
  • Conduct cyber hunt missions, examining systems and networks for indicators of compromise.
  • Compile findings into comprehensive Threat Hunt and Analysis reports.
  • Analyze data trends to identify systemic issues within Army networks.
  • Monitor security events and maintain an up-to-date triage database.
  • Respond to detected events and ensure proper handling of trouble tickets.
  • Provide initial cyber incident investigation reports.
Qualifications:
  • US Citizenship is mandatory
  • DoD Secret Clearance is required
  • Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) certification
  • IAT Level II Certification or higher (e.g., CompTIA Security+ CE, CCNA Security Training, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC)
  • BA/BS degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, or Computer Science
  • A minimum of ten (10) years of relevant experience
  • Demonstrated understanding of technical principles within the Cyber Research field
Preferred Qualifications:
  • IAT Level III Certification (e.g., CompTIA CASP+, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP)
  • Experience in modeling and measuring techniques
  • Prior experience in a Department of Defense (DoD) environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
