About the Role

SOSi is seeking a highly skilled Senior Threat Analyst to join our team in Fort Huachuca, AZ. As a key member of our Cybersecurity team, you will play a critical role in supporting the defense of the Army Network.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Security Event Monitoring and Correlation: Oversee the monitoring and correlation of security events within a tiered Security Operations Center.
  • IT Security Incident Response: Leverage CND analyst toolsets to detect and respond to IT security incidents, ensuring timely and effective mitigation strategies.
  • Incident Response Procedures: Implement standard procedures for incident response, interfacing with Information Security Officer and IT staff to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Threat Research and Documentation: Conduct research and document threats and their behavior, including monitoring external CSIRTS/CERTs, to provide valuable insights for threat mitigation strategies.
  • Security Recommendations: Provide recommendations to threat mitigation strategies, ensuring the Army Network remains secure and resilient.
  • Effective Communication: Employ effective web, email, and telephonic communications to clearly manage security incident response procedures, ensuring timely and accurate information sharing.
  • Event Reporting and Analysis: Perform routine event reporting over time, including trend reporting and analysis, to identify areas for improvement and optimize security measures.
  • Network Security: Provide security for network technology, including Unix/Windows OS, Cisco/Juniper Routing-Switching, within a hands-on design/Implementation/Administration role.
  • Network Protocol Implementations: Perform TCP-IP protocol implementations for all common network services, in addition to network packet analysis and anomaly detection.
Requirements
  • Active TOP SECRET/SCI Clearance: Possess an active TOP SECRET/SCI clearance, with the ability to maintain it throughout the contract period.
  • Education and Experience: Hold a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with at least 8 years of experience in a similar role, or an Associate's degree with 10 years of experience, or a High School diploma with 12 years of experience.
  • DoD 8140 DCWF 541 Requirements: Meet the DoD 8140 DCWF 541 requirements, including certifications such as GIAC Certified Intrusion Analyst (GCIA) or Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH).
  • ITIL Certification: Possess ITIL v3 or higher certification within 90 days of contract start date or hire.
  • U.S. Army Knowledge: Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the U.S. Army's mission and operational requirements, as well as its IT operational and technical requirements.
  • Complex Information Systems: Possess expertise in complex information systems architectures, involving multiple disparate databases, networks, and communications subsystems.
  • Willingness to Work Overtime: Be willing to work overtime, after hours, holidays, and weekends, as necessary, to ensure the security of the Army Network.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's Degree: Possess a Master's degree in Network Management, Telecommunications, Cybersecurity, National Security Strategy, or a related field.
  • ITIL 4 Certification: Hold ITIL 4 certification.
