Residential Youth Support Specialist

As a Residential Youth Counselor at Mount Prospect Academy, you will play a crucial role in supporting the development and well-being of adolescents in a therapeutic residential environment.
Reporting Structure:
This position reports directly to the Program Director.
Compensation:
Competitive pay rate of up to $19.00 per hour.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide supervision and mentorship to youth, serving as a positive role model.
2. Implement engaging social and recreational activities tailored to the needs of the residents.
3. Deliver care and psychosocial education as outlined in individual treatment plans.
4. Assist residents with daily living skills, including meal preparation and hygiene practices.
5. Foster the development of social skills and coping mechanisms through supportive relationships.
6. Be the first line of support during moments of crisis, helping to stabilize emotional situations.
7. Facilitate a structured residential routine with intentional planning and execution.
8. Participate in team meetings and contribute to the overall program goals.
