Counseling & Recovery Services of Oklahoma is seeking a highly skilled Health Information Management Director to oversee the daily operations of our medical records and health information technology systems. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and confidentiality of patient records, as well as maintaining compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures for medical records management, including preparation, maintenance, completion, and retention.
  • Oversee the quality review of records and identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with IT staff to assess risk and develop improvements to health information workflow, security, and privacy.
  • Facilitate HIPAA compliance training and monitoring programs for employees.
  • Lead and manage health information technical staff and complete administrative tasks such as performance evaluations.
Requirements:
  • Associate's degree in Health Information Management or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 3 years of experience supervising in the health information management field or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of third-party payers, billing codes, and applicable documentation.
  • Ability to learn specialized software programs and establish effective relationships with clients, staff, and vendors.
