Branch Manager Northeast Houston District

Wells Fargo is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Branch Manager to lead our Northeast Houston District team. As a Branch Manager, you will be responsible for leading, managing, and developing a diverse team of direct and indirect reports, creating a culture that fosters engagement and generates commitment and accountability to business outcomes.
Our ideal candidate will have 4+ years of banking, financial services, or Branch Network experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education. They will also have 2+ years of leadership experience and be able to build and inspire a team where adaptability, collaboration, and accountability to performance are critical to success.
The successful candidate will be able to analyze performance, understand strengths and opportunities, and execute a plan that empowers employees to achieve business objectives. They will also have experience and knowledge in coaching across customer segments, including affluent, high net worth, and small business, and be able to lead a team to influence, educate, and connect customers to technology and share the value of digital banking.
This is a SAFE position that requires compliance with the S.A.F.E. Mortgage Licensing Act of 2008 and all related regulations. Ongoing employment is contingent upon meeting all such requirements, including acceptable background investigation results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coach, develop, and build a high-performing team to execute on business strategies, achieve results, and drive growth of the business.
- Resolve low to moderately complex issues regarding the customer and employee experience, risk, and growth of the team and the business.
- Identify opportunities for making banking easier for customers through education and demonstration of available digital options to support adoption and customer convenience.
- Lead the branch while engaging stakeholders, peers, and internal partners in collaborating and building strong partnerships to deliver a customer-centric experience.
- Mentor and guide talent development of direct reports and assist in hiring talent.
Requirements:
- 4+ years of banking, financial services, or Branch Network experience, or equivalent.
- 2+ years of leadership experience.
- Ability to build and inspire a team where adaptability, collaboration, and accountability to performance are critical to success.
- Experience and knowledge in coaching across customer segments, including affluent, high net worth, and small business.
- Ability to lead a team to influence, educate, and connect customers to technology and share the value of digital banking.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Management experience including hiring, coaching, and developing direct reports.
- Ability to analyze performance, understand strengths and opportunities, and execute a plan that empowers employees to achieve business objectives.
- Experience and knowledge in coaching across customer segments, including affluent, high net worth, and small business.
- Ability to lead a team to influence, educate, and connect customers to technology and share the value of digital banking.
Job Expectations:
- Ability to work a schedule that may include most Saturdays.
- Ability to travel in assigned geography up to 50% of the time during the first 6 months, depending on location.
This position requires SAFE registration at the time of employment. Wells Fargo will initiate the SAFE registration process immediately after your employment start date. The Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) website provides the MU4R questions and registration required for employment in this position.
Individuals in Loan Originator (LO) positions must meet the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau qualification requirements and comply with related Wells Fargo policies.
The LO qualification requirements include meeting applicable financial responsibility, character, general financial fitness, and criminal background standards. A current credit report will be used to assess your financial responsibility and credit fitness, however, a credit score is not included as part of the evaluation.
Successful candidates must also meet ongoing regulatory requirements, including additional screening, if necessary.
