The Senior Wealth Advisor is responsible for delivering holistic financial and investment guidance to our Citigold and Citigold Private Client segments. Senior Wealth Advisors benefit from access to a premier investment solutions platform, enabling the provision of both traditional and alternative investments, managed account solutions, and top-tier research and advice tailored for all Wealth clients. The client remains at the core of our operations.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with a dedicated Wealth team to fulfill the financial objectives of our Affluent and High-Net-Worth clients. This includes working alongside a Wealth Relationship Manager and field specialists such as Financial Planners, Insurance Experts, Portfolio Consultants, and Home Lending Officers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and nurture relationships with new clients to increase bank and brokerage assets.
  • Enhance relationships with existing clients in Citi Personal Wealth Management and Retail Banking through effective financial planning and comprehensive discovery skills.
  • Respond to referrals and introductions from business partners, recommending optimal offerings based on client profiling and suitability assessments.
  • Provide investment recommendations and advice to clients utilizing a select range of solutions informed by firm models and research.
  • Capitalize on referral opportunities to expand the portfolio.
  • Direct opportunities to segment partners when appropriate, including Small Business Partners and Home Lending Officers.
  • Acquire new clients by converting referral leads.
  • Manage client follow-ups while adhering to all Regulatory and Compliance procedures.
  • Ensure strict compliance with KYC/AML and other regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with all roles within the branch team to guarantee a positive client experience.
  • Evaluate risks in business decisions, ensuring the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets by adhering to applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
  • Assume leadership roles within teams, including mentoring and training new recruits.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • 5-8 years of experience in a financial advisory role.
  • Proven success in a proactive sales and service capacity within the financial services sector.
  • Strong analytical and financial acumen.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, and Word) and familiar with financial planning software.
  • Basic understanding of investment and financial planning strategies is preferred.
  • Self-motivated, problem-solving, and goal-oriented team player capable of working independently.
  • Possession of Securities Industry Essentials SIE, Active Series 7, 66 (or 63 and 65) licenses.
  • Group 1 Insurance License.
  • This position requires registration as a mortgage loan originator with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry, including obtaining a unique identifier.
