We are in search of a seasoned expert in the Healthcare sector to take on the role of Risk Engineering Services Practice Executive. This position entails delivering strategic risk engineering guidance and support within Chubb's Healthcare Industry Practice, which includes various business units such as Commercial Insurance, Major Accounts, Westchester, Bermuda, and Small Business Insurance.

The Healthcare Risk Engineering Practice Executive will play a pivotal role in shaping underwriting risk mitigation strategies, offering technical assistance, and formulating comprehensive guidelines for risk assessments across our North American field network. Responsibilities will include conducting loss control evaluations, coordinating services, fostering an inclusive team culture, and providing innovative solutions to enhance the value proposition of Risk Engineering.

This position requires significant travel, exceeding 35%, across North America and offers flexibility in location within the United States.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee complex account management throughout North America
  • Facilitate and coordinate client stewardship meetings
  • Conduct site evaluations and risk assessments for intricate healthcare operations
  • Provide expert consultation to both internal and external stakeholders
  • Offer actionable recommendations aimed at minimizing potential losses
  • Support business growth, non-insurance revenue enhancement, and profitability
  • Collaborate with the North America Underwriting Healthcare Practice Leader to define Risk Engineering business priorities
  • Work alongside Risk Engineering Strategy & Operations to manage healthcare vendor relationships effectively
  • Oversee existing healthcare tools and services
  • Engage directly with clients and policyholders to secure and maintain profitable business
  • Develop and mentor a team of risk engineers focused on healthcare, conducting multi-line evaluations and services across North America
  • Create and maintain updated technical resources, including guidelines and service standards
  • Drive the Healthcare Quality Assurance (QA) process to ensure consistent service quality
  • Ensure proper utilization of risk engineering efforts by underwriting
  • Produce thought leadership materials for external guidance and manage deliverables for stakeholders
  • Conduct research projects to support healthcare underwriting and claims
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in healthcare risk management or loss prevention
  • Bachelor's degree in Safety & Health, Sciences, Engineering, or a related field
  • Relevant professional certifications (e.g., Certified Safety Professional, Certified Fire Protection Specialist, Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management)
  • Preferred candidates will have specialized expertise in healthcare multi-line risk assessments
  • Proven leadership abilities with a strong sense of integrity
  • Experience in developing and executing strategies and business plans
  • Deep understanding of standards and the ability to apply them effectively
  • Demonstrated success in managing Risk Engineering programs and initiatives
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with experience in public speaking and training
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills, focusing on high-priority issues
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to translate strategy into actionable objectives
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Risk Engineering operations and insurance-related activities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat; familiarity with SharePoint and Access is a plus

The compensation range for this role is between $128,500 and $215,000, with specific offers dependent on individual qualifications and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for participation in an annual incentive program. Chubb provides a comprehensive benefits package, details of which are available upon request.
