Job Title: Process Engineering Specialist

About the Role

The Process Engineering Specialist will play a key role in driving business process improvement initiatives across PRS. This role combines insurance business knowledge, process examination, and data analysis to identify and implement process reengineering, automation, and future state transformation use cases.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct process discovery, document current state processes, and identify areas of significant opportunity throughout PRS teams.
  • Leverage analysis, feedback channels, and process metrics to identify areas of improvement that drive simplified products, create repeatable processes, streamline/simplify systems, improve the customer experience, and reduce issues and pain points.
  • Create business process documentation (mapping, job-aids) to understand process steps, interdependencies, and applications used to complete transactions.
  • Develop and present continuous improvement initiatives to stakeholders and business leaders that are compelling, motivate, drive change, create value, and drive buy-in.
  • Coordinate with the process engineering team, business owners, IT development teams, and other relevant stakeholders to define requirements, design, develop, test, and deploy solutions as needed.
  • Support implementation and change management of solutions within the business; Communicate project status, issues, and risks to internal and external teams on a regular basis.
  • Foster strong relationships with Sales, Underwriting, Operations, and Claim's functions to collect stakeholder input and ensure the adoption of optimized business processes.
  • Assist with establishing consistent standards and practices within the Process Engineering team and across PRS.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of experience in the financial services industry
  • Personal Lines insurance experience is a plus
  • Certified Six Sigma Green Belt, Yellow Belt, Lean, Change Management or equivalent training/certification.
  • Management consulting experience or experience leading or participating in process discovery, process analysis, process design, or process optimization is a plus
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft suite (specifically PowerPoint, Visio, MS Excel)
  • Agile, Waterfall, or other project management/environment experience
