The Vice President of Cyber Claims Strategy will oversee a specialized team comprising 17 adjusters and 2 data analysts, ensuring technical excellence in claims management.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Take charge of a select portfolio of intricate, high-stakes, or systemic cyber claims. Develop and deliver structured training programs aimed at enhancing the technical skills of the entire cyber claims team, covering areas such as legal considerations, coverage specifics, service protocols, and compliance standards. Act as the primary liaison for cyber claims with underwriting partners, providing insights on claim patterns, significant losses, emerging threats, and refinement of policy language. Ensure that claims handling aligns with underwriting objectives. Hold overall accountability for handling catastrophic claims, including vendor contract negotiations and ensuring adequate vendor capacity during catastrophic events. Serve as the main claims resource for underwriting and product management leaders during the drafting and review of new products and endorsements, offering guidance to managers and supervisors. Engage with brokers and insured parties through marketing initiatives and industry seminars as necessary. Collaborate with actuaries and underwriting teams to assist in the analysis and preparation of analytical reports and presentations for discussions with senior leadership. Work with the tower lead to establish criteria for monitoring and managing systemic or quasi-systemic claims, including cross-border issues. Ensure uniformity in claims handling and policy interpretation, reviewing coverage challenges according to established protocols. Provide technical oversight and guidance to cyber adjusters. In partnership with the tower lead, oversee the data analytics team to implement a global data collection policy, ensuring timely and accurate data capture. Coordinate with the vendor management team to maintain an updated vendor panel, onboard new vendors, and address any vendor-related issues.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Strong background in cyber and professional liability, with experience in compliance and regulatory matters. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; Juris Doctorate is preferred. Professional designations such as CPCU, SCLA, AIC, etc., are advantageous. Proven management and leadership skills. At least 7-10 years of experience in cyber or professional liability claims handling. Comprehensive knowledge of coverage and contracts. Excellent analytical and investigative abilities. Technical expertise in coverage application, litigation, and contractual relationships. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including proficiency in large-group presentations. Articulate communicator in both written and spoken formats. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships across various levels of the organization.

The compensation range for this position is between $128,500 and $215,000, with the specific offer contingent upon the applicant's qualifications and other relevant factors. This role may also qualify for a discretionary annual incentive program. CHUBB provides a comprehensive benefits package, details of which are available upon request. The disclosed salary range may be adjusted based on geographic differentials applicable to the position.
