Job Summary

The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) plays a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and experiences at Synectics. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for drawing quality blood samples from patients and preparing those specimens for lab testing while adhering to established practices and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Draw blood samples from patients with skill, safety, and accuracy.
  • Prepare specimens for lab testing while maintaining a safe and professional environment.
  • Verify patient demographic information and initials to ensure accurate labeling of specimens.
  • Maintain required records and documentation.
  • Demonstrate organizational commitment and promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision.
  • Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections.
  • Must be able to make decisions based on established procedures and exercise good judgment.
  • Capable of handling multiple priorities in a high-volume setting.
  • Superior customer focus, ability to communicate openly and transparently with peers, supervisors, and patients.
  • Medical training, medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
  • Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in California, Nevada, and Washington).
  • Three years of phlebotomy experience, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
  • Minimum 2 years in a Patient Service Center environment preferred.
  • Customer service in a retail or service environment preferred.
  • Keyboard/data entry experience.
Work Schedule

Monday to Thursday: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, Friday: 8:00 AM - 1:00 PM.
