Job Summary

Aquarion Water Company is seeking an experienced Industrial Controls Electrician to join its Operations Systems & Efficiency group. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and upgrading of electrical systems at various facilities throughout the company's service area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble and install electrical circuits, systems, instrumentation, and equipment, including motors, regulators, controllers, generators, and switches.
  • Inspect electrical equipment and machinery, diagnose faulty operation, and make necessary repairs.
  • Engage in preventative maintenance activities, including VFD maintenance, IR thermography, MCC/switchgear maintenance, and assisting contractors as required.
  • Configure, commission, troubleshoot, and start up AC/DC drives, HMI systems, PLCs, and DCS systems.
  • Document all electrical changes and ensure that electrical panels have up-to-date drawings and are accurate.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Valid Connecticut driver's license.
  • Current Connecticut Electrician's License (E2) and a minimum of two years' experience as a licensed electrician.
  • Current Connecticut Electrician's License (E1) preferred.
Benefits
  • This position is classified as a Non-Union Hourly Grade 10 position with a rate range that has a training wage of $41.63/hour.
  • Successful candidate will move through Step 1 through 8 of the range with satisfactory performance to the maximum salary.
  • This position is Monday through Friday, 7:00AM to 3:30PM.
  • This position will be reporting out of our Shelton (CT) plant.
