Who are we seeking?
We are in search of a passionate scientist with a robust background in analytical methodologies, particularly in Cyclical Voltammetry Stripping (CVS), HPLC, GC, and wet chemistry. The ideal candidate is a proactive individual eager to contribute to the development and assessment of new electroplating processes for the semiconductor sector, propelling our advancement in cutting-edge technologies.
What will your responsibilities include?
- Conduct CVS analysis on plating baths and develop CVS methodologies for new formulations.
- Characterize custom organic polymers and compounds synthesized by R&D.
- Analyze electroplating baths to quantify organic additives and characterize breakdown products using HPLC, UV-VIS, FTIR, and Gas Chromatography.
- Develop analytical methodologies for new R&D formulations related to strategic projects.
- Document new procedures for transfer to Quality Control as part of new product development.
- Perform and record precise quantitative analyses on various solutions, interpret results, and prepare detailed reports tailored for internal or external stakeholders.
- Troubleshoot analytical challenges encountered by customers and support teams in Quality Control and production for processes that are out of control.
- Collaborate with various groups in R&D and other departments concerning the electrodeposition of Cu, Co, Sn, SnAg, Ni, and Au.
- Stay updated with new techniques and methodologies emerging in the field.
- Mechanical maintenance of instruments is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related discipline, with a master's degree preferred, and a minimum of 3 years of experience with analytical instruments.
- Ideal candidates will possess hands-on experience with CVS and HPLC, including method development and instrument upkeep. Experience in the analysis and characterization of polymers is also preferred.
- While not mandatory, familiarity with electrochemical techniques is advantageous.
