**Job Summary:**

Trevor Day School seeks a highly qualified Physical Education Team Leader and Teacher to join our Lower School faculty. As a key member of our Physical Education department, this individual will be responsible for teaching Physical Education classes to students in Nursery through 5th Grade, leading the Lower School PE team, and collaborating with the Athletic Director to develop a comprehensive Physical Education program.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Teach Physical Education classes to students in Nursery through 5th Grade, incorporating a variety of activities and sports to promote physical fitness, coordination, and teamwork.
  • Lead the Lower School PE team, providing guidance and support to colleagues to ensure a cohesive and effective Physical Education program.
  • Collaborate with the Athletic Director to develop and implement a balanced Physical Education program that meets the needs of all students.
  • Manage the inventory and equipment requisitions for Physical Education activities and sports.
  • Track student progress and provide clear and effective written and verbal feedback to parents and colleagues.

**Requirements:**

  • Experience teaching Physical Education to students in Nursery through 5th Grade.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and students.
  • Knowledge of physical fitness and the relationship between good body function and exercise.
  • Ability to coordinate the safety of all field areas and equipment.
  • Capacity to supervise students during out-of-classroom activities such as field trips and arrival/dismissal.
  • Commitment to fostering students' social and emotional well-being.
