K-12 Superintendent Job Description

Elsdon Group is seeking a seasoned K-12 Superintendent to oversee the construction of new educational facilities in the Dallas area.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Oversight: Direct and coordinate all on-site activities for K-12 ground-up projects, ensuring adherence to project plans, specifications, and timelines.
  • Safety Management: Implement and enforce strict safety protocols to protect workers, students, and the community. Conduct regular safety meetings and inspections.
  • Quality Assurance: Maintain rigorous quality control standards, ensuring that all construction work meets or exceeds project requirements and client expectations.
  • Schedule Management: Develop and manage project schedules, ensuring that construction milestones are achieved and that any delays are addressed promptly.
  • Budget Monitoring: Track and manage project expenses, ensuring that costs are kept within budget and reporting any discrepancies or issues to senior management.
  • Client Liaison: Act as the primary contact for clients, including school districts and educational administrators, providing regular updates and addressing any concerns or requirements.
  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive and accurate project records, including daily logs, progress reports, and compliance documentation.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Superintendent specifically on K-12 ground-up projects in the Dallas area.
  • Proven experience in the construction of educational facilities, with a strong understanding of K-12 building requirements and standards.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills, with a strong focus on detail and problem-solving.
  • Degree or certification in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
