Role Summary
The API Quality Assurance Specialist will be pivotal in advancing the Digital Banking Solutions division. This role offers the chance to significantly influence the company’s digital transformation, promote customer-focused innovation, and establish the organization as a frontrunner in the digital banking arena.

Key Responsibilities
1. Lead the formulation, design, and implementation of extensive quality assurance strategies and testing protocols specifically for APIs across various frameworks (e.g., Spring, Node.js).
2. Create comprehensive test plans, cases, and scenarios for functional, non-functional, regression, and performance testing of APIs, ensuring complete coverage of requirements and user scenarios.
3. Design, develop, and sustain automated testing frameworks and scripts utilizing tools such as Selenium, TestRail, or similar to enhance regression testing and ensure test repeatability.
4. Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or Azure DevOps, collaborating with DevOps teams to embed automated testing within the development workflow.
5. Stay abreast of the latest testing tools, technologies, and best practices, assessing their relevance to improve testing efficiency, coverage, and accuracy for APIs.
6. Conduct performance, load, and scalability testing of APIs to pinpoint bottlenecks, optimize application performance, and guarantee a seamless user experience under diverse usage scenarios.
7. Work alongside security teams to implement and conduct API security testing, including vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and compliance checks to meet industry standards and regulations.
8. Identify, prioritize, and monitor defects using bug tracking systems (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla) and collaborate with development teams to ensure prompt resolution and validation of fixes.
9. Evaluate API usability, accessibility, and design elements through usability testing, A/B testing, and user feedback analysis to enhance overall application quality and user satisfaction.
10. Document test plans, cases, results, and metrics, generating detailed test reports and dashboards for stakeholders, highlighting quality insights, risks, and recommendations.
11. Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, designers, and QA teams, clearly communicating testing progress, issues, and recommendations.

Professional Qualifications
- Proficient in developing test plans, cases, and scenarios for APIs.
- Experience in functional, regression, usability, performance, and security testing of APIs.
- Familiarity with consumer-driven contract testing using tools such as Pact.
- Proficient with API testing frameworks like Rest Assured, Mocha/Chai.
- Experience with Postman and test reporting tools such as ReportPortal, TestRail, Allure, etc.
- Strong hands-on experience in creating and maintaining automated test scripts for APIs using relevant tools and frameworks.
- Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, Java, or JavaScript for automation tasks and test script development.
- Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and collaborating with DevOps teams.
- Understanding of API app development frameworks, architectures, and technologies to effectively design and execute testing strategies.
- Ability to analyze logs, debug issues, and troubleshoot API performance, compatibility, and functionality issues.
- Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, processes, and best practices, including agile testing methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).
- Experience in creating and maintaining test documentation, defect tracking, and reporting using tools like Jira, Bugzilla, TestRail, or similar.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical skills to identify test scenarios, prioritize testing efforts, and analyze test results.

Compensation
We offer competitive compensation and a dynamic work environment. The pay range for this full-time position reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries based on the role, level, and location. Actual starting pay is determined by job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
