POSITION SUMMARY
Respond to and address guest repair requests promptly. Engage with guests to resolve maintenance concerns effectively. Conduct preventive maintenance on tools and equipment, ensuring cleanliness and proper lubrication. Perform visual inspections of tools, equipment, and machinery. Manage equipment, including tools and communication devices. Identify and operate all shut-off valves for equipment and utility services. Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and requisition parts as necessary. Communicate daily activities and issues to other shifts using approved communication protocols.
Demonstrate foundational knowledge or the ability to learn about various systems, including air conditioning, refrigeration, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry. Execute surface preparation, painting, minor drywall repairs, and replace light bulbs and A/C filters while ensuring thorough cleanup of work areas. Troubleshoot and perform basic repairs on equipment, plumbing fixtures, and electrical components. Program televisions and assist with general housekeeping and engineering-related inventory tasks. Utilize the Lockout/Tagout system prior to performing maintenance tasks. Carry out repairs on both interior and exterior landscaping, including sprinkler systems.
Adhere to all company safety and security policies and procedures; report maintenance issues, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries; complete safety training and certifications; and store flammable materials properly. Maintain a clean and professional appearance, uphold confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets. Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipate and address service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and express genuine appreciation to guests.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education: High school diploma or G.E.D equivalent.
Related Work Experience: Some experience in general maintenance and surface preparation.
Experience in hotel engineering or maintenance is advantageous.
Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience required.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
License or Certification: Valid Driver's License.
The pay range for this position is $40.25 to $40.25 per hour and includes health care benefits, retirement benefits, earned paid time off, life insurance, disability coverage, and other wellness benefits. Benefits may be subject to eligibility, waiting periods, contributions, and other requirements.
