CBRE Global Workplace Solutions (GWS) is seeking a skilled Stationary Engineer to join our team. As a Stationary Engineer, you will be responsible for performing complex preventive maintenance and corrective repair of buildings, industrial systems, vehicles, equipment, and grounds.
Key Responsibilities- Compliance and Safety
- Ensure compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, and Company directives related to building operations and work safety.
- Boiler Repair and Maintenance
- Strong experience repairing and working on boilers is essential.
- Building Systems Inspection
- Inspect building systems, including fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing, to ensure operation of equipment is within design capabilities and achieves environmental conditions prescribed by clients.
- Contractor Oversight
- Oversee and inspect the work performed by outside contractors, including landscaping, snow removal, remodeling, HVAC, plumbers, and cleaning.
- Maintenance and Repair
- Perform assigned repairs, emergency, and preventive maintenance.
- Complete maintenance and repair records as required.
- Work Order Management
- Review assigned work orders.
- Estimate time and materials needed to complete repair.
- Order necessary materials and supplies to complete all tasks.
- Energy Management
- Maintain an energy management program to ensure measures are taken to operate all systems in the most efficient manner to keep operating costs at a minimum.
- Lighting System Maintenance
- Maintain the building lighting system, including element and ballast repairs or replacements.
- Additional Tasks
- Perform welding, carpentry, furniture assembly, and locksmith tasks as needed.
- Respond quickly to emergency situations, summoning additional assistance as needed.
No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position. May provide informal assistance such as technical guidance and/or training to coworkers. May coordinate work and assign tasks.
