Job Overview

Position Summary: Are you eager to embark on a journey in the aerospace sector and contribute significantly to the upkeep and restoration of military aircraft engines? Total Aerospace Services is on the lookout for a diligent Aerospace Engine Maintenance Assistant to support our operations.

In this role, you will assist in the disassembly, repair, and refurbishment of aircraft turbine engine components under the supervision of seasoned mechanics. Collaborate closely with the Engine Shop team to facilitate the inspection, assembly, and precise balancing of essential engine parts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the disassembly process and accurately document findings from teardown activities.
  • Assist in the balancing of compressor and turbine rotor assemblies.
  • Interpret technical manuals and adhere to repair guidelines.
  • Work collaboratively with team members and provide assistance across various departments.
  • Maintain strict compliance with safety protocols and operational procedures.

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Preferred experience in A&P or similar fields.
  • At least 1 year of hands-on experience in turbine engine maintenance.
  • Familiarity with J-85 engines is advantageous.
  • Proficient English language skills for technical documentation interpretation.
