POSITION SUMMARY
Respond to and manage guest repair requests efficiently. Engage with guests to address maintenance concerns. Conduct preventive maintenance on tools and equipment, ensuring cleanliness and proper lubrication. Perform visual inspections of tools and machinery. Identify and operate all shut-off valves for equipment and utilities. Maintain an inventory of maintenance supplies and requisition parts as necessary. Communicate daily activities and any issues to other shifts using established communication protocols. Exhibit basic knowledge or the ability to learn in areas such as air conditioning, refrigeration, electrical systems, plumbing, carpentry, and energy conservation.
Carry out surface preparation, painting, minor repairs, and the thorough cleanup of work areas. Test and troubleshoot various equipment, including plumbing and electrical components. Program televisions and manage general housekeeping and engineering-related inventory tasks. Adhere to the Lockout/Tagout system prior to performing maintenance tasks. Perform repairs on both interior and exterior landscaping.
Follow all company policies regarding safety and security; report maintenance issues, safety hazards, and accidents; complete necessary safety training and certifications; and ensure proper storage of flammable materials. Maintain a professional appearance and uphold confidentiality of proprietary information. Provide excellent service to guests, addressing their needs and concerns with genuine appreciation. Foster positive working relationships with colleagues and support team objectives.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education: High school diploma or G.E.D equivalent.
Related Work Experience: Some experience in general maintenance and surface preparation.
Experience in hotel engineering or maintenance is advantageous.
Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience required.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
License or Certification: Valid Driver's License.
The pay range for this position is $40.25 to $40.25 per hour and includes health care benefits, retirement benefits, paid time off, life insurance, and other wellness benefits. Eligibility for benefits may be subject to certain requirements and conditions.
