Job Description

UDR Consulting, Inc. is seeking experienced professionals for a Readiness Team Lead position to support critical projects in operational readiness. This role is essential for ensuring that all processes align with established standards and requirements.


POSITION SUMMARY
In this capacity, you will leverage your extensive background in commissioning and operational roles to facilitate the strategic planning and execution of readiness processes. Your contributions will be vital in achieving certification for operational readiness in compliance with relevant directives.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The following duties outline the core responsibilities of this position:

  • Guide the Readiness Team to implement the strategic plan for achieving operational readiness.
  • Assist in the formulation of the Readiness Plan, detailing the project’s approach to operational readiness.
  • Mitigate potential risks to successful project initiation through comprehensive readiness planning.
  • Identify and address vulnerabilities proactively to ensure compliance with operational, safety, and technical standards.
  • Ensure adherence to administrative and technical requirements pertinent to readiness planning.
  • Support the development of the Operational Readiness Review (ORR) Plan of Action to outline the scope of the review.
  • Participate in the selection and execution of the Readiness Certification Assurance (RCA) process, utilizing tracking software for evidence management.
  • Oversee the completion of readiness affirmations within the Readiness Certification Assurance Process Tracking System (RCAPTS).
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager to ensure that operational readiness preparations meet management expectations.

QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION: A PhD or Master’s Degree complemented by specialized technical training is required. Candidates lacking formal education may be considered based on relevant experience.


EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • A minimum of twenty years of experience in the nuclear or commercial industrial sectors.
  • Capability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q Clearance with Weapons Data access.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Extensive experience in the nuclear industry, particularly in commissioning and operational readiness.
  • Background in conducting assessments to facilitate operational readiness of nuclear facilities.
  • Experience in the operations of a DOE/NNSA Nuclear Facility.
  • Prior roles in Conduct of Operations, Conduct of Maintenance, or Senior Supervisory Watch for operational readiness support.
