Position Overview

The Material Supply Coordinator is tasked with the centralized procurement of materials for designated countries and branches within the Distribution Center's supply network. This role is crucial for ensuring efficient and cost-effective scheduling within the supply domain by establishing seamless communication processes between the countries and the Distribution Center, while continuously enhancing data quality. The Material Supply Coordinator will maintain optimal stock levels by ensuring material availability for our clients while optimizing the supply chain (balancing surplus materials against requirements, etc., with a primary focus on interbranch material transfers). This position will also oversee the logistics process to guarantee timely delivery of material stock. As a Material Supply Coordinator, you will implement strategic initiatives regarding slow-moving items and coordinate capacities with the Yard Operations team of the Distribution Center. Furthermore, you will collaborate closely with all stakeholders (HQ, regional, and country organizations) on various topics and projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitates and endorses the realization of product strategies.
  • Addresses material demands and regulates the logistics process throughout the supply network, focusing on interbranch material transfers and supply from the Distribution Center to branches.
  • Collaborates with other entities within Doka's supply network and coordinates with other Distribution Centers and headquarters to enhance supply performance.
  • Develops concepts for stock optimization in alignment with Doka's strategic direction.
  • Implements Doka's global logistics standards and processes for Distribution Centers.
  • Responsible for maintaining balanced stock levels and material procurement planning based on business needs.
  • Facilitates regional and global transport logistics for material exchange (intercompany).
  • Supports the execution of product strategies and manages the organization of material outflow.
  • Provides remote operational support to branches within the supply network.
  • Acts as a liaison during the implementation of new global Supply Chain Management software, conducts training, and serves as a key user.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Actively participates in management meetings as necessary.
  • Undertakes other tasks/projects as assigned, including participation in company committees or teams.
  • Travels to branch offices within the supply network to assist with material management and workflow, identifying issues and proposing solutions.
  • Provides training on proprietary intercompany software data systems.
Qualifications

  • High school diploma required; a Bachelor's Degree in Business or Logistics is advantageous.
  • Strong analytical skills and numerical aptitude are essential.
  • Assertive management style with the ability to work independently and achieve results with minimal supervision.
  • Effective team player with the capability to meet desired objectives.
  • Exceptional organizational, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills are necessary.
  • Ability to work effectively in a complex, results-driven environment requiring strong decision-making skills.
  • Familiarity with Doka's business operations and product knowledge (cost calculation, company accounts, inventory valuation, order processing, inventory, and data management systems).
  • Substantial working knowledge of Doka's logistics processes and policies (material/yard/transport logistics).
  • Understanding of Doka's new supply network concept, strategies, and policies.
  • Excellent command of English (speaking, reading, writing) is required.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Advanced skills in using Doka's proprietary order processing systems.
  • Advanced skills in using Doka's material tracking systems.
