Position Overview
- Accountable for ensuring timely delivery of materials to customer job sites and other branch locations.
- Facilitates load scheduling, order picking, and accuracy in order fulfillment in collaboration with the Branch Yard and/or Operations Manager.
- Ensures compliance with all loading and unloading protocols, including documenting truck conditions and issuing necessary return numbers.
- Tracks freight expenses utilizing the company's internal freight management system.
- Responsible for verifying freight invoices for correctness against original quotes and delivery confirmations.
- Maintains daily inspection records for company vehicles.
- Ensures that truck drivers possess valid motor vehicle licenses as per DOT regulations.
- Oversees that trucks and trailers are loaded securely and adhere to height and weight restrictions.
- Engages in various tasks/projects as assigned, including participation in company committees.
- Contributes to the promotion of safe working practices and a secure work environment.
- Adheres to all company policies, compliance guidelines, and operational practices.
Educational and Professional Background
- Bachelor's Degree in Business or a related field is preferred.
- Experience in administrative, operational, or controlling roles is advantageous.
- Ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
- Strong communication skills with proficiency in English (speaking, reading, writing).
- Demonstrated analytical skills, technical proficiency, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, with advanced skills in Excel.
- Eager to learn new systems, products, and methodologies.
- Detail-oriented team player capable of working independently in a dynamic environment.
