Role Summary
The Branch Support Officer is integral to the seamless functioning of branch operations at New Omni Bank. Reporting directly to the Depository Operations Manager, this position is essential for providing operational support, ensuring compliance, and maintaining high service standards across all branches.
Key Responsibilities
- Branch Coverage: Offer comprehensive support to branches, especially during staff shortages due to absences or turnover.
- Customer Engagement: Ensure outstanding service delivery to both internal and external clients, addressing their needs efficiently.
- Account Management: Assist in the establishment and maintenance of personal and business accounts, recognizing customer requirements for banking products.
- Operational Support: Provide guidance to branch staff, resolving operational challenges to maintain consistent service delivery.
- Monitoring & Compliance: Review and oversee reports related to internal controls and regulatory compliance, ensuring adherence to established standards.
- Process Enhancement: Participate in initiatives aimed at improving branch operations and service delivery.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct regular evaluations of branch operations to ensure compliance with established procedures.
- Training: Facilitate training sessions for branch personnel to promote operational excellence and compliance.
- Regulatory Adherence: Ensure that all branch staff comply with regulatory standards, including Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA).
- Audit Collaboration: Work alongside internal and external auditors to ensure accurate and timely completion of audits.
- Communication: Maintain effective communication with management regarding operational matters within the branches.
- Additional Responsibilities: Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Education: A college degree is preferred; however, substantial relevant experience may be considered.
- Experience:
- At least 5 years of experience in operations, with a strong preference for branch operations expertise.
- A minimum of 2 years in a supervisory role within a banking environment, including responsibilities such as employee evaluations and scheduling.
- Skills:
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities, including maturity and empathy.
- Strong analytical abilities with meticulous attention to detail.
- Proven time management skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) and familiarity with banking software.
- Ability to interpret safety rules and operational guidelines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Bilingual skills (English and Chinese) are a plus.
- Flexibility: Willingness to adapt to varying work hours and locations as needed.
- Compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal policies is essential.
Physical Requirements:
