Job Title: Branch Support Officer

At New Omni Bank, National Association, we are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Branch Support Officer to join our team. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring the efficient operation of branch activities across our bank.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive operational support to branches, including staffing coverage, operational guidance, and quality control.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders, ensuring their needs are met promptly and effectively.
  • Assist with account services, including opening and maintaining personal and business accounts, and identifying opportunities to cross-sell bank products and services.
  • Provide expert guidance to branch staff, addressing operational issues and ensuring consistent, accurate branch operations.
  • Monitor and review reports related to internal control, regulatory compliance, and quality control, following up as necessary.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance branch operational efficiency.
  • Conduct regular reviews of branch operations and certifications to ensure compliance with established standards.
  • Coordinate and provide training to branch staff to ensure compliance with operational standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure all branch staff adhere to compliance regulations, including Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), and the bank's Code of Conduct.
  • Collaborate with internal and external auditors, ensuring assignments are completed accurately and on time.
  • Maintain open communication with management regarding all branch operational matters.
Requirements:
  • A college degree is preferred, with significant relevant work experience also considered.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in operations, with a strong preference for branch operations expertise.
  • At least 2 years of supervisory experience in a banking environment, with responsibilities including employee evaluations, scheduling, and coaching.
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities, including professionalism, empathy, and consistent positive behavior.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and collaborative skills, especially when working with diverse teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and familiarity with banking software; experience with the FIS system is preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact tactfully and effectively with employees, customers, and management.
