POSITION SUMMARY

The Field Mechanic is responsible for ensuring that operational sites are maintained in a secure and efficient manner. This role involves coordinating and planning significant overhauls of compressor systems and providing routine maintenance and support for both reciprocating and screw compressors.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Maintain safe operations at all sites.
  • Plan and oversee major overhauls of compressor packages.
  • Conduct routine maintenance on reciprocating and screw compressors.
  • Engage in work related to Vapor Recovery Units (VRUs) and gas lift systems.
  • Coordinate and supervise extensive repairs and overhauls on pumps, compressors, and engines.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain equipment linked to gas liquefaction and production facilities.
  • Collaborate directly with vendors to address issues with rotating equipment and parts.
  • Work closely with engineers to resolve compressor-related challenges.
REQUIREMENTS
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in the oil and gas sector is preferred.
  • Experience with Arial cat compressors is highly advantageous.
  • Proficient understanding of screw and reciprocating compressors.
  • Ability to perform tasks with minimal oversight.
  • Willingness to learn and accept guidance from seasoned facility personnel.
  • Capability to work in extreme outdoor conditions.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with personnel, departments, and external officials.
  • Basic computer skills necessary for planning, scheduling, record-keeping, compliance, engine analysis, and troubleshooting.
  • Self-motivated individual with strong organizational, technical, and analytical abilities.
  • Proven leadership in Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) practices with a commitment to achieving Zero Incident HSE outcomes.
