Job DescriptionThe Applied Informatics unit in the Advanced Technology Innovation Pipeline (ATIP) organization is seeking an engineer to accelerate the development and deployment of digital engineering practices. The successful candidate will collaborate extensively within Applied Informatics and across organizational boundaries within NNL.
Key Responsibilities- Perform market research and proof of principle analyses
- Plan and execute research and development tasks leveraging internal resources and external subcontracts
- Develop and integrate digital engineering tools
- Support integrated plant and plant system concept design and analysis
- Develop and apply model-sensor-fusion technologies
- Develop and apply system and component digital twins
- Develop and integrate sensor systems
- Acquire and process data
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or science related field and 4 years of relevant experience
- Master's degree in engineering or science related field and 2 years of relevant experience
- PhD degree in engineering or science related field
- Currently or previously NPE qualified
- CTE/ACRS and 1 year EOOW qualified in the Nuclear Operations Program
- Watch Instructor and Refueling Facility Area Refueling Engineer and 1 year as SRE
- Strong written and oral communication
- Experience learning new fields quickly and effectively
- Experience with integrated plant or plant systems design or analysis
- Experience developing or integrating engineering analysis software tools
- Experience collaborating on R&D projects with national laboratories, universities, or industry

Pay Range: $83,600.00 - $130,700.00 annually
